    • An initial brief home visit (meet & greet) will be required to meet you and your pet along with a chat about you & your dogs requirements – including your dogs behaviour , current daily routine plus any medical requirements. Dogs will not be walked without an initial meet & greet.
    • Bitches in season and Registered Dangerous Dogs unfortunately will not be accepted.
    • Owner is responsible and will ensure that their dog is up to date with their vaccinations, flea, tick treatments and de-wormer treatments.
    • Every effort will be made to contact the owner prior to obtaining emergency care, please ensure any changes to your emergency contact details are communicated immediately.
    • Owners and up to date vet contact details will be required before accepting any dogs into my possession.
    • All dogs must have a valid up to date ID tag on their collar before being accepted for dog walks. (legal requirement)
    • Dogs 8+ weeks old must be Micro Chipped by 6th April 2016.
    • Payment methods are via Cash or Bank transfer only – to be paid within 3 working days of the last service.
    • Booking times are estimated. Collections/drop offs vary on different days of the week, also please consider other factors outside of my control (ie weather conditions, traffic etc)
    • Off lead Dog Walking (solo or group) is at the dog walkers discretion & only once a disclaimer form has been signed by the owner for insurance purposes.
    • Owner accepts full liability for any loss or damage caused by their dog whilst being walked. The Dog Walker is not held accountable for vet fees or third party claims.
    • Water and small treats (unless requested not to) are included.
    • Historical records of all customer services completed, are filed purely for legal taxation purposes only.  All customer information is 100% confidential
    • Dog grooming and or bathing of animals is not within the services offered.
    • Any service requested & completed over 30 minutes will be charged at the Full hourly (60 minute) rate.
    • If a dog walk/home visit has been arranged but access to the pet/property is not possible (ie gate locked or key in the back of door) or the pet is not home for any reason, the full rate will still be applied.

Cancellation Policy – Waggy Dog Walking Services Hinckley

This cancellation policy applies to all Dog Walking & Home Visits supplied by Waggy Dog Walking Services Hinckley. As a small and flexible local business, care is taken to plan routes for collection and drop off of your pets on an individual pet basis. Route and timing plans are carefully thought through, as well as time slot allocations for home visits on a daily basis, to allow for last minute cancellations and/or additions.  A last minute cancellation or addition can have a significant impact on routes and timing plans, although flexibility is offered for my services, please also be mindful that consideration (and enough notice) towards my efforts is also appreciated. Measures are in place to avoid loss of income & disappointment to declined pets/customers, due to time slots being allocated to other individuals who cancel at short notice.

  • A notice period of 48 hours is required for cancellation of services (solo, group & home visits included).  No charges will be incurred.
  • A nominal charge of 50% is applied to any cancelled service between 48 & 24 hours in which the service was agreed, booked & due to commence.
  • The Full 100% service rate will be applied to services cancelled within 24 hours or less of the service commencing.
  • As stated in the Terms & Conditions, if a dog walk/home visit has been arranged but access to the pet/property is not possible (ie gate locked or key in the back of door) or the pet is not home for any reason, the Full rate will apply.

This policy is rarely used, but time slots and dog walk allocations are popular but limited. Although it is understood that “the unforeseen” can take place at any time, this policy is purely in place to protect the existence of this small local business.
